The Longines Global Champions Tour of Stockholm 2019 in collaboration with Stockholm Horse Week will feature a thrilling festival of equestrian sport to develop a sustainable world class event in the city.

Tickets for the event at Stockholm’s historic Olympic Stadium go on sale from tomorrow, Wednesday November 28, and the event will have a strong focus on developing young talent with a new partnership between Stockholm Horse Week and Lövsta Future Challenge. The exciting project will see U25 competitions presented during the official program. The best European U25 riders in dressage and jumping will be invited to compete with the goal of developing their expericence and skills on their path towards the international top sport.

The world’s elite riders and horses will be in Stockholm to compete in the Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL team competitions, which feature U25 riders in teams, from 13th – 16th June next year as the city joins the circuit’s global calendar for the first time.

Entrepreneur Antonia Ax:son Johnson, owner of Lövsta Stuteri, said: “We are passionate about giving talented young riders and horses the opportunity to develop in an international environment. Now that Stockholm gets a weekend with the whole world elite on site, we think it’s amazing to make more young riders to be part of it.”

An equestrian-themed weekend will see the highest calibre of show jumping competition as part of the Longines Global Champions Tour and GCL individual and team series as well as Stockholm Horse Week competitions including the Lövsta Future Challenge.
